A 15 year-old Frenship student has been upgraded to serious condition on Sunday after being injured in a head-on collision that left one person dead.
Sarah Elkins was riding with her 16 year-old boyfriend Landon Velasquez and another Frenship student when their truck collided with a semi in the 7400 block of 82nd St. on Thursday afternoon.
Velasquez, the driver of the pickup, was killed. Elkins remains at University Medical Center on Sunday night.
