LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A toddler who was airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock from Oklahoma following a deadly tornado that claimed the lives of his father and two sisters has been released from the hospital.

Ty Cooley, 23 months, was released from UMC sometime Friday afternoon, according to hospital officials. He arrived at the hospital Sunday, after sustaining serious injuries in a tornado in Woodward, Oklahoma. According to Ty's grandmother, Shelly Hobbie, Ty and his family were sleeping in their mobile home when the twister struck.

Hobbie says Ty is doing well, and it's a miracle he is alive. If you'd like to make a donation to Ty or his family, you can contact the Woodward Red Cross at (580) 256-3828.
