A: I am very proud that I have not supported program cuts at our schools and would work hard to avoid any cuts in the future. I believe that we have to make our programs more efficient instead of cutting. I would look at all alternatives before considering cuts to any programs. I would like to see more emphasizes on math, science, and lowering our dropout rate.

Q: How much emphasis should be given to the programs that are provided by the Byron Martin ATC (Advanced Technology Center)?

A: The programs at the Byron Martin Center are some of the best in Texas! We have visitors from all over that come to see the ATC. I believe that we should increase opportunities at the ATC for all students to ensure that our students are ready for both college and careers.
