Gay/Straight Alliance Will Not Appeal Court Ruling

Members of a Gay, Straight Alliance Group will not appeal a court ruling in their lawsuit against the Lubbock Independent School District.

In March, a federal judge ruled LISD acted legally when it denied the group's application to meet on the Lubbock High Campus. The deadline to appeal the lawsuit was last Friday.

Lawyers for the students say one reason for dropping the suit was the May graduation of two students in the case.
