Lubbock Planned Parenthood Will Now Meet Needs Of HIV Patients

Planned Parenthood is broadening its services to include HIV patients. That was the reason for an open house there today to make the community aware that new grant money awarded to Planned Parenthood will allow that agency to be a greater benefit to this community.

"HIV positive clients go through a financial screening process and if they qualify for services then that's what the Ryan White grant is for. For medical services, transportation, dental, case management and a variety of other services that we will have available to the clients," explains Tony Thornton, CEO of Planned Parenthood.

Tony says the HIV care services will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Planned Parenthood Office which is in the Briercroft Office Park. For more information, you can call 795-7123 .
