Eye-Catching Piercing

If you think you've seen everything when it comes to body piercing, now there's eyeball piercing.

Dutch eye surgeons have implanted tiny pieces of jewelry in the mucous membrane of the eyes of six women and one man. This eye-catching cosmetic surgery was pioneered by the Opthalmic Surgery Research and Development Institute in Rotterdam.

Surgeons there have patented the eye jewelry, a heart or half-moon, which they implant using an operating microscope in a procedure that takes about 15 minutes. Already, there is a long waiting list.
