Teen Could Get Six Year Sentence in Mosque Vandalism

A 15-year-old boy accused with three others of desecrating a Lubbock mosque will spend up to six years in state custody.

The Islamic center of the South Plains was ransacked earlier this month. The March 7th vandalism included anti-Muslim scrawls and misspelled racial slurs.

More than 100 people crowded into the trashed mosque the day after the crime to voice support for the center's worshippers.
