Tulia Drug Bust Prosecutor Sued

The state bar of Texas is suing the prosecutor in the controversial 1999 Tulia drug busts. Terry McEachern is accused of not giving defense attorneys information about the criminal history of Tom Coleman, the lone undercover agent in the sting.

McEachern is also accused of not correcting testimony by Coleman that he knew was false. A finding against McEachern could mean penalties ranging from a public reprimand to the loss of his law license.
