U.S. Army Specialist, Israel Garza was laid to rest after losing his life while fighting in Iraq.
Twenty-five year-old Garza, of Lubbock, was killed Sunday as his convoy fought Shiite militiamen in the Baghdad neighborhood of Sadr city. Eight Americans were killed in all. Garza had only been in Iraq less than a month.
He is survived by his parents, his wife, and their three sons.
