Market Street closed for 3 hours due to storage unit fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Shortly after 11 a.m., Lubbock firefighters were called to the Market Street at 98th and Quaker for a structure fire. A storage unit outside of the store caught fire, but crews had it out quickly.

The store was reopened at 2 p.m.

According to Fire Marshal Robert Loveless, the Market Street fire was unintentionally set by a discarded cigarette.
