Texas Tech celebrates Arbor Day with dirty hands

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Texas Tech students and faculty celebrated the annual Arbor Day today on campus.

Arbor day is an annual event every spring on the Texas Tech campus when new seeds and trees are planted for the spring weather. Activities began this morning around 11 and went to 3 p.m.  Fallen Riviera performed live music and food was served to the volunteers.

Festivities began in Memorial Circle and went throughout the campus. New flower beds were planted and watered. organizers say Arbor Day is one of the most anticipated events of the spring semester.
