Demand for blood has left United Blood Services 125 units short and in danger of not being able to fill the demands of local hospitals.
UBS says on an average day, local hospitals use between 110 and 150 units of blood. You can help with this shortage. If you're at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110-pounds and are in good health, you can donate.
You can call UBS at (806) 741-1752 to make an appointment or stop by 48th and University to give the gift of life.
