Special Olympics Texas Spring Games

Hundreds of South Plains athletes competed this weekend in the Special Olympics Texas Spring Games. The area's largest Special Olympics competition began Friday at Texas Tech's aquatics center and continued Saturday at Tiger Stadium in Wolfforth.

About 400 athletes competed in the spring games, but it also takes hundreds of volunteers to make the games happen.

If you would like to volunteer to help out with Special Olympics, you can call (806) 749-7000 for more information.
