The U.S. Supreme Court has decided not to hear a case involving last year's redistricting in Texas. The court refused to hear Texas Democrats' claims that Republicans wrongly by-passed traditional rules to bring the redistricting plan to a vote.

The state legislature approved the map last October despite months of political fights and two walk-outs by Democratic lawmakers.
