If your spring cleaning takes you into a warehouse or storage shed, you may identify with a question from one of our viewers. Marilyn asks, "Do the spray bombs work at killing bad spiders like the brown recluse?" We didn't want to ask a pest control service because we thought their answer might be biased, so we went to the bug experts at Texas Tech. Dr. Nancy McIntyre said, "I wouldn't recommend using a bug bomb or some kind of commercial stuff that you could just buy at a supermarket. It would be better off letting a professional with professional chemicals handle it." Dr. McIntyre said that bug bombs take a lot longer to kill the spiders, and you won't have immediate results.
