The "Shattered Dreams" program came to students at Estacado High School Wednesday.
"Shattered Dreams" is an educational activity intended to remind students about the dangers associated with drinking and driving.
Lucio Trevino is a criminal justice teacher at the school and said he though this was a great way to send a message with prom coming up.
"We want to save one life," Trevino said. "We'd be doing great. That's the message. We want to show it can happen. It can happen to anybody."
The program simulated a realistic drunk driving accident in front of the school, complete with emergency crews and a police arrest.
