Usually, we hear complaints from the Center for Science in the Public Interest. But today, that food watchdog group is applauding the USDA. New rules from the Department of Agriculture will allow inspectors to start investigating potential sources of e-coli as soon as the first test of beef indicates a problem. The new rules are an effort to prevent hundreds of people from being sickened by various strains of e-coli every year.
