Lubbock Schoolchildren Celebrate Earth Day

Millions of Americans are participating in rallies, marches, and educational programs all in recognition of Earth Day.

Here in Lubbock, nearly 300 students from local schools are taking part in an Earth Day celebration at TreeGrace farms. The kids are learning how to make a healthier and greener tomorrow, by planting organic produce and visiting a petting zoo.

Earth Day was celebrated for the first time in the United States, back in 1970.
