Clapp Park hosting Park Fit Challenge for May

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Clapp Park is the City of Lubbock's choice for the monthly Park Fit Challenge, a program established to help people of all ages stay healthy and fit.

The office of Parks and Recreation pick a park in Lubbock and holds a monthly challenge to stay fit. The challenge includes walking and jogging a featured trail of the month. For the month of May the exercise is Lunges. The Park includes a .7 mile track in the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum.

A sign will display with the Fit Logo which will identify the park of the month. Take a picture with the sign and send to the Park Fit coordinator to enter a monthly drawing. The park is located at 40th Street and University. Detailed information can be found at City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation web site.
