Free Immunizations

It's something parents have to do by law. But at least next week, it won't cost you a dime. In honor of National Immunization Week, the Lubbock City Health Department has decided to vaccinate kids for free next week, during certain clinic times every day.

The first is Monday from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at the city health department, which is at 19th St. and Texas. Kids under 18 can get all the required shots and the polio vaccine at no charge.

If you miss that one, on Tuesday, the health department is offering the same bargain at Toys 'R' Us from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00.

But don't forget, you must bring your child's shot record. Immunizations will not be given without it.
