Almost a year after they lost her, the family of Texas Tech graduate Laura Putnam is still struggling to deal with her death.
Friday the Putnam family spoke in Burnet about the challenges survivors face. Their daughter, 23-year-old Laura Putnam, died on Memorial Day last year when she was struck by a boat in a hit-and-run incident at Lake LBJ.
The Putnams say the healing process has been difficult. "We still cry everyday..but less often it's still there it will never go away," said Laura's mother, Betty Putnam.
28-year-old Robert Corrigan III is charged with failure to stop and render aid in the hit and run boating incident. His trial is set for June 14th.
