Lubbock police promote officers, honor heroic citizen at Friday ceremony

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Lubbock Police Department promoted nine of their officers and handed out a Good Citizen Award on Friday.

Jessica Pringle was honored for her heroic actions during the recent SWAT standoff at City Bank.

Pringle was held hostage by 61-year-old Tommy Beadles after he entered City Bank near 82nd and Quaker with a gun. Later, it turned out the gun was just a toy.

The following officers were promoted:

Captain: Roy Bassett and Neal Barron;

Lieutenant: Keith Woodard and Michael Steen;

Sergeant: Ronnie Roan and Corey Nunley;

Corporal: Jeremy C. Jones, Anthony Pistoria, and Bryan DuBois.
