Hockley Co. Sheriff On Wednesday afternoon, a Levelland jury found Samuel Dean guilty of manslaughter in the death of Justin Willeby. The jury deliberated for 3 1/2 hours before returning the verdict.
Willeby died from injuries he received during an altercation with Dean last August at the Levelland swimming pool. The punishment phase begins Thursday morning, and Dean faces no less than 2 or no more than 20 years in prison. However, if the jury gives him less than 10 years, Dean would be eligible for probation.
