Free Colon Cancer Screening at Texas Tech

If you know you need to be screened for colon cancer but you've been putting it off out of concern for the cost, you may be eligible for a free screening program at Texas Tech, thanks to a grant from the CH Foundation.

That would include either testing the stool for hidden blood, a sigmoidoscopy, or colonoscopy, which is a complete examination of the colon. These are being provided free of charge to Lubbock County residents who are or will turn 60 this year and can show that they have some financial need of assistance.

If you'd like more information on the free colon screening program, you can call the Wellness Center at Texas Tech at (806) 747-2102.
