Chemical Spill Causes Evacuation at Lubbock Warehouse - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock Emergency crews spent much of the day cleaning up after a Hydrochloric Acid spill in East Lubbock

This spill occurred just after 7a.m. Thursday morning at the Omega Freight Warehouse, in the 800 block of East 40th Street. Officials say a 55-gallon drum began leaking the dangerous chemical while sitting in the back of a trailer.

About 5 employees were working in the warehouse at the time, but all were evacuated safely.
