One of the things kids miss most while at the hospital is the video games they leave back at home. That's about to change at the Children's Hospital at UMC thanks to a generous gift called the Fun Center, provided as a team effort by Colgate products, United Supermarket, and you.
"It came about from donations that were made by Colgate through purchases our customers made during the month of February in our stores. So really, the customers in West Texas made this possible," says Renee Underwood from United Supermarket.
The fun center includes a Playstation and lots of video games which can be rolled into the patient's room if a child isn't mobile enough to leave. The fun center is already available in more than 700 children's hospitals across the country, an effort of the Starlight Foundation.
