Children's Health and Safety Fair Held

Dozens of kids took part in Safety City's annual Children's Health and Safety Fair on Saturday.

The Children's Health and Safety Fair teamed up with more than 30 organizations to help kids have the safest summer ever.

Activities included immunizations, face painting, door prizes, and much more. Saturday's event was held at Safety City, which is located at 46th St. and Avenue U.

    According to officials with the Texas Department of Transportation, a tanker was heading south on FM 2130 towards Highway 114, about a mile and a half east of Smyer.
