City To Use Groundwater In Lubbock Parks

Tuesday Lubbock City Officials took another step toward conserving the city's water supply. Installation on two groundwater wells started Tuesday morning in Lopez Park. Both are expected to be operational by mid-July.

When completed, water used to irrigate the park will come from groundwater rather than the city's water supply. In all, ten Lubbock parks are scheduled to be converted.
