Country music legend, Glen Campbell, announced last year that he suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Today, he and his family were in Washington to share their story, and offer support to a new National Alzheimer's plan.
Ashley Campbell, Glen's daughter, said, "Eventually he's going to look at me, and I'm going to be nothing to him."
The National Institutes of Health unveiled two new therapies, which includes a nasal spray that delivers insulin directly to the brain. That's based on evidence that Alzheimer's and diabetes might be related. Also, part of the national strategy includes a simple new website, and it's excellent- www.alzheimers.gov. There, you can find much more information about dementia, along with community resources.
