SBC Strike Off For Now - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A strike threat against SBC Communications has been lifted, at least for now. The telecommunications firm and the Communications Workers of America say they've agreed to keep talking and to extend their contract on a day-by-day basis.

SBC had faced a strike deadline of Saturday. The CWS says there are no plans to strike at this time.
