Concert to Benefit Accident Victim

Mothers Against Drunk Driving is holding a benefit concert for a victim of an alcohol-related accident.

It happened March 13th on West Loop 289 near 4th Street. 15-year-old Lara Pederson was one of four girls in vehicle that was hit head-on when another vehicle crossed the median. She was taken to the hospital and survived. 19-year-old Rebecca Blair was killed, and the driver of the second car, 22-year-old Bernabe Mendoza was charged with intoxication assault.

Saturday's concert features music from "Shepard Blind" and will benefit Lara. It begins at 7 p.m. in the Hutchinson Junior High auditorium. Proceeds will benefit Lara's medical fund. Donations will also be accepted at any Bank of America location.
