Congressman Stenholm Secures Funds for Ports To Plains Corridor - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

District 17 Congressman Charlie Stenholm announced Friday that he has secured funding for a portion of the Ports to Plains Corridor.

The commercial corridor will consist of a four-lane highway route through Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Colorado. Congressman Stenholm said Friday he secured $6.5 million in the 2004 Transportation Bill. The money will go toward the construction of a bypass around Lamesa which will be part of the corridor.
