Fallen Officers Honored At Montford Unit

Remembering those who have died in the line of duty, that was the mission Friday at the John T. Montford Unit.

The prison held a memorial service to honor the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Correctional employees who have lost their lives on the job. The ceremony included a flag presentation, candle lighting and musical tribute.

The event is part of National Correctional Officers week.
