Physicians to present women's health topics

Texas Tech Physicians will present women's health topics at a Lunch and Learn Healthy Aging Series from noon to 1:15 p.m. May 22 to May 24 at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Academic Classroom Building, 3601 Fourth St. Room 150. 

Physicians presenting and their topics are:

May 22

Jennifer Mitchell, M.D., Texas Tech Physicians — Family and Community Medicine, Preventing Injuries

Sam Prien, Ph.D., TTUHSC Department of OB/GYN, Sexually Transmitted Diseases

May 23

Yan Zhang Ph.D., Department of Family and Community Medicine, Acupressure

 Jules Molina, M.D., Texas Tech Physicians — Psychiatry, Depression 

May 24

Candy Arentz, M.D., Texas Tech Physicians — Surgery, Breast Cancer

Carol Felton, M.D., Texas Tech Physicians — OB-GYN, Menopause

The event is sponsored by the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health (LWBIWH) and UMC Health System as a part of the Women's Health Top 5.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health celebrates women's health in May. This year's theme is, "It's Your Time." Events like these empower women across the country to make their health a top priority.
