81-Year-Old Man Involved in Two Car Collision

An 81-year-old man is in the hospital Saturday evening after he was involved in a two car collision in east Lubbock.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Parkway and Zenith Avenue.

Augustino Guiterrez was sent to Covenant Medical Center with critical injuries after he slammed into the passenger side of a Buick.

The Jaws of Life were used to get the passenger out of the car. Names and injuries of those in the car are not known at this time.
