This Mother's Day was extremely memorable for one Wolfforth mom.
Lisa Burrow's 19 year-old son Austin came home from his Coast Guard duties after nine months on the job. Austin has been aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Sherman as a firefighter and engineer.
The same ship that seized more than 13,000 pounds of cocaine in a drug bust just last week. Austin says his experiences have been good and that he's learned to appreciate America and home even more.
"We had three drug busts and also picked up 94 immigrants from Ecuador. It was eventful. I'm glad to be home," said Austin Burrow.
"It's wonderful. I just wish every mom that had somebody in the service, no matter what, could be with there's. You know, I'm lucky it worked out," said Lisa Burrow, Austin's mom.
Austin will return to work in about a week.
