Officials will hold a press conference Wednesday at 10 a.m. to discuss the human remains found at a west Lubbock apartment.
Maintenance workers found bones buried in the backyard of a unit at the Chaparral Apartments on the 5800 block of 24th Street Friday. It took medical examiners nearly 10 hours to remove the remains and evidence.
The Lubbock County Medical Examiner's Office started the autopsy Monday. They are trying to determine the gender and identity of the individual.
The press conference will include spokespersons from Lubbock Police, The Medical Examiner's Office and District Attorney's office.
