ATHENS, GA (KCBD) -

In collaboration with the Texas Tech Athletics Department:

Texas Tech's No. 18 duo of Raony Carvalho and Gonzalo Escobar defeated Ole Miss' No. 17 Chris Thiemann and Marcelo Thiemann, 6-4, 6-2, at the NCAA Division I Doubles Championship semifinals at the McGill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

"I think what it came down to, was our guys were more relaxed," said head coach Tim Siegel after the match. "We put pressure on them from the beginning and really took Ole Miss out of their game...I'm just so proud of the fact that they've played so well."

However Siegel said the tandem, with a match left, isn't content with just going to the championship match.

"My one job is to make sure they're not satisfied, and they're not," explained the excited coach. "We have one more [match], we're going to play relaxed and confident, and see what happens."

Tech will play Ohio State in the title match.
