LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
The National Weather Service issued a public information statement Wednesday urging Lubbock-area residents with pre-existing respiratory conditions to consider
limiting
strenuous outdoor physical activities.
Smoke will continue to surge into the area from the
fire
in western New Mexico, NWS reports. Individuals who may be
sensitive to
the effects of the smoke, including the very young, may wish to stay indoors to reduce the risk of adverse health effects.
