A 1-year-old girl is in serious condition after being run over in a Lubbock parking lot.
According to police, the child was playing in a duplex parking lot in the 2700 block of 44th Street around 3pm Thursday afternoon. That's when the driver of a white Ford attempted to back out of his parking space, did not see the toddler, and ran the child over with a rear tire.
The little girl is now receiving treatment for serious injuries at the Children's Hospital at University Medical Center.
