Lubbock Police In Search Of State National Bank Robbery Suspects

Lubbock Police are searching for suspects in a Lubbock bank robbery.

Lubbock Police say that around 2:45 on Friday afternoon, two men backed a stolen four-door, brown Honda Civic into the front of the State National Bank at 66th and Indiana. The men then entered the building, one of the men carrying a handgun and demanding everyone inside get on the ground. One suspect jumped over the counter and the other entered the vault. They escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. The bandits then got back into the Civic and abandoned the vehicle in an alley across the street, East of KK's Kraft Mall, and fled on foot.

The vehicle was also reported stolen Friday morning from the 7-11 at 50th & Quaker. Police are still searching for the two suspects, a white male in his 20's, and a white or Hispanic male with dark hair, about six feet tall, 30 to 40 years of age.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance video, and say this robbery has similarities to a City Bank robbery that happened a few weeks ago - at 50th and Indiana.

If you have any information, you are urged to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
