Muleshoe murder suspect in custody

Muleshoe, TX - The man said to be involved in an overnight shooting in Muleshoe has been captured.

Police found 49 year old Daniel Cardon Monday evening walking around in a field east of Muleshoe.

Cardon is being charged with the murder of 38 year old Lucila Perez who was found shot twice early Monday morning.

He is now in the Bailey County Jail.

Family members say Perez had a restraining order against Cardon and their divorce was supposed to be filed Monday.
