The funeral for Lucila Perez has been set for 11 a.m.
Thursday at Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe.
Perez was shot and killed 12:30 a.m. Monday in her sister-in-law's
home. Muleshoe Police say Perez's husband Daniel Cardon, 49, broke into
the home and shot her two times.
He was arrested around 7 p.m. Monday in a field east of Muleshoe. He remains behind bars in the Bailey County Jail charged with
capital murder.
A memorial fund is set up at Chase bank under Lucila Perez's
name. It will benefit her three children.
