LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Lubbock sales tax collections are up - an indication that folks are spending more money in Lubbock area stores. According to the Comptroller, revenues for June in the city of Lubbock are up from $3.757 million to $4.0 million - an increase of 6.46%. Year to date, they're up in Lubbock 5.52%.
Lubbock County's sales tax collections are up 4.41% for the month and 3.95% for the year. For the entire state of Texas, sales tax collections are up 9.7% for the month and 9.1% for the year.
