Chrysler Corporation has awarded Frontier in Lubbock with an exclusive Fiat dealership for the West Texas area, according to Bobby Ray, General Manager of Frontier. "We are fortunate to now have Frontier Fiat to complement our Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram Truck models. Our first shipments have arrived and Fiat vehicles are now available," said Ray. "And we are in the process of transforming the center showroom of our complex into a state-of-the-art Fiat dealership, which the Italian automaker calls studios."
The Fiat Studio will be the final piece of a total renovation of the Frontier complex on Spur 327 at Frankford. Frontier's used car facility reopened after the first of the year, and just recently the main showroom was completed featuring Chrysler's new design elements on the inside and out, complete with state-of-the-art interactive information centers for each of the Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram Truck brands. "Our new signs, furniture, fixtures, pavement and the complete makeover of the parts and auto service departments has transformed Frontier into a more customer-friendly and efficient automobile dealership," said Ray.
The new Frontier Fiat Studio will feature a distinctive, upscale exterior and interior designed to showcase the exciting line-up of Fiat models and house interactive elements that allow customers to configure their own Fiat just the way they want it. There will also be an information center and licensed merchandise from the Italian automaker such as scale models, t-shirts, jackets, belts and more will be available.
The iconic Italian auto brand features the 2012 Fiat 500 subcompact car available in three trim levels: Pop, Sport and Lounge that come in a choice of 14 exterior and 14 unique seat color and material combinations. The Fiat 500 has a local starting retail price of $17,550.
The 2012 Fiat 500 features an all-new 1.4-liter, inline four cylinder engine with state-of-the-art MultiAir technology that provides world-class levels of power, fuel efficiency, quality and refinement, Ray said. The engine delivers 101 horsepower and 98 foot-pounds of torque and can be matched to either an all-new six-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual. The Fiat 500's fuel efficiency is rated at 30 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
A soft-top convertible version of the Fiat 500, the 500 Cabrio, should arrive at Frontier Fiat soon, said Ray, and the more upscale and sportier Abarth model is already in stock.
All 2012 Fiat models will come with a standard four-year/50,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty and four years of unlimited roadside assistance. In addition, the new Fiat 500 includes a three-year/36,000-mile maintenance program that includes wear-and-tear items.
Other features include seven standard airbags and reactive head restraints, BOSE Energy Efficient Series premium audio system with six premium speakers and subwoofer, four-wheel anti-lock disc brake system, and available Blue & Me Hands-Free Communications Technology.
Ray said the 2012 Fiat 500 appeals to all generations; the older generation that once drove and loved Fiat before and the younger generation that is looking for a unique vehicle that they can personalize and that is really a lot of fun to drive.
The new Frontier Fiat Studio is scheduled for completion in early July.
