Woodrow & Slide intersection to become all-way stop

Provided by Texas Department of Transportation

Next week, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be converting the intersection of FM 1730 (Slide Road) and Woodrow Road, in Lubbock County, from a two-way stop to an all-way stop condition.

Road crews will begin installing the 48" flashing stop signs on Monday, June 18. Pavement markings, as well as advance stop-ahead signs will also be added to the intersection to alert motorists of the new stop conditions.

State officials made the recommendation to convert the intersection to a four-way stop because of sight restrictions on the approaches to the intersection and the high volume of traffic on both roadways.

Message boards notifying the public of the upcoming new traffic control conditions at the intersection, are in place.
