LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
The
Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees approved salary increases for teachers on
Thursday. LISD says the salaries will see an average increase of 3%. Teachers,
counselors, nurses, diagnosticians, and librarians will receive at least $1,500
more a year.
Beginning
teachers will start out at a $40,000 salary for 2012-13, up from $37,750 for
the 2011-12 year. Administrative operations, instructional support and
administrative/professional employees will see a pay increase of 2%, based on
the midpoint for their pay grade.
