LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Civic Lubbock announced four new inductees into the West Texas Walk of Fame Thursday.

At the annual ceremony on September 27th, record producer and Maines Brothers band member Lloyd Maines will be inducted along with the late Jesse "Guitar" Taylor (Joe Ely Band) and former Cotton Club owners and musicians Tommy and Charlene Hancock.

The West Texas Walk of Fame began as a tribute to Buddy Holly. In 1983, Civic Lubbock Inc mounted the dedication plaque and the induction plaques of Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings. They also nominated Mac Davis as the next inductee and developed a criteria for future nominees.
