Plainview Honors Late Mayor With Patriot Walkway

The mayor of Plainview would like to invite you to take a walk in the park in honor of patriots.

Thursday, a dedication ceremony was held for the newly constructed Lloyd C. Woods Park Patriots Walkway.

From veterans to current military members and even those who just share a love for our country, the city sold bricks to honor all patriots. But, as Plainview Mayor John Anderson says the city had one patriot in mind when it came up with the design, the late Mayor Lloyd Woods.

"He was a true patriot in every step of the word and we wanted to do something that would memorialize that," said Mayor Anderson.

Lloyd C. Woods Park is located off of Parkway Street in Plainview.
