Gas prices down 15 cents in two weeks

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Finally some good news on gas prices. With oil prices falling, it should cost you a little less to fill your tank next time you pull up to the pump.

The average price of a gallon of gas dropped 15 cents over the past two weeks.

The national average is $3.48 a gallon. That's a 23-cent drop in the last month.

Drivers are obviously relieved:

"It's dropped tremendously, man, and it's helping a lot. Everybody at work is talking about it. It's great."

"I still think the United States paid much less than the rest of the world, so we've been spoiled way too long so I don't complain" >

We found prices in Lubbock as low as $3.11 a gallon.

Lower crude oil prices and the economic trouble in Europe are two reasons for the decrease.
